The youth of America

After the Spelling bee champion was crowned....Primetime aired a foster kid special...one minute you are look at arguably the least neglected kids in america to the most neglected...the juxtaposition made the foster kids story that much more depressing...I don't know if ABC planned it...

Guess ABC hasn't mastered the Ursprache system yet.

I'm glad they showed that on network TV, though--it's about time some major media outlet promoted something educational.

Cynics, of course, will go off on the evils behind the spelling bee, but I feel like romanticizing it a bit. I came in 2nd place in a spelling bee in 3rd grade, but my stupid classmate beat me in the end by spelling "Tetanus". Go Bee!

The Canadian blew it big time, though--any world class speller would have known the V sound would be spelled with a W. Too bad--I wanted her to win too--she reminded me of Winnie Cooper from the Wonder Years.

Man I'm a nerd. NEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRDDDDDDSSSS!!!!!
